Notes From the Bottle:
One of the driest ciders on the market. The golden orange glow of this unique cider lends way to notes of lilac, blood orange and green apple on the nose. Dry and pleasantly acidic, flavors of nectarine, under ripe peach and tart cherry hit the palate with no residual sweetness. – Seattle Cider
The Core Review:
The nose of DRY by Seattle Cider Company starts you off with a slight hint of apple/green apple, which is very light. When you get into the cider you’re welcomed with a balanced dry cider that’s not to acidic and is very easy drinking (which is scary at 6.5%). I do get the slight hints of the under ripe peach and nectarine when looking for them that Seattle Cider Company references in their description, but I lack the taste of tart cherry. The back end of this cider is dry but is well balanced with the acidity so that it almost disappears into nothing as you swallow leaving no after taste. The slight carbonation in this cider fades really fast if the cider is left in the glass too long.
The Final Press:
Overall I like this cider. It’s a bone dry cider that is clean drinking and well balanced. The back end of this cider leaves me wishing there was a little more bite to the acid or some astringency, but it’s still good. At the end of the day this cider would be nice in a wine glass while relaxing with friends and unwinding from the day/week/month/life.
